CBS NEWS DETROIT — Eric Kass, Vinyl Collector

While on a pilgrimage to Jack White’s Third Man Records vinyl pressing plant in Detroit, Michigan for a tour I was interviewed for a CBS news story. Living up to my Office of the Obsessor — Curator / Collector ( my tote fits records! ) status I was officially labeled a “Vinyl Collector”. I have a large collection of vintage + new limited edition vinyl, cd’s, cassettes and vintage audio gear that I will be sharing photos of in the future.

Always the overthinker, instead of “It’s super cool” haha… I wish I would of mentioned a few other thoughts like — I feel music, especially physical media, is a time machine transporting us to a moment in our lives where we first experienced it, vividly reminding us of the people we were with, the place we were at and even what we were feeling. So it becomes a tangible trigger for our memories which inspires reflection and connection.
